Warranty

1. Warranty for New Machines

Unless otherwise stated in a written quote or invoice, all brand-new machines sold by Stan Canada include the following standard warranty:

1.1 Warranty Coverage

  • 1-year Parts Warranty starting from the invoice date, regardless of delivery, installation, or first use.

  • Warranty covers replacement of defective parts only.

  • Labour is not included unless explicitly stated in the quote or invoice.

  • Travel, mileage, accommodations, rigging, and all associated service costs are not included.

1.2 Shipping of Warranty Parts

  • Warranty parts shipped from the manufacturer to Stan Canada via standard ground shipping are provided at no cost to the customer.

  • Rush shipping (air, courier, expedited freight) from the manufacturer is available at the customer's expense.

  • Shipping from Stan Canada to the customer is always at the customer’s expense.

  • Returned defective parts must be shipped to Stan Canada by the customer upon request.

1.3 Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear items (belts, filters, seals, fuses, lubricants, coolant, contactors, inserts, tooling, workholding, accessories).

  • Cosmetic defects, paint, or rust.

  • Damage caused by improper electrical supply (incorrect voltage, missing ground, phase reversal, spikes, fluctuations).

  • Damage caused by improper installation, leveling, anchoring, or moving.

  • Damage caused by lack of lubrication, misuse, overloading, or improper operating procedures.

  • Environmental damage (humidity, condensation, freezing, overheating, dust, corrosive atmosphere).

1.4 Warranty Void Conditions

Warranty becomes void immediately if:

  • Any repairs, modifications, or adjustments are performed without written authorization from Stan Canada.

  • Customer hires third-party technicians without Stan Canada approval.

  • Machine is modified, altered, rewired, or mechanically changed.

  • Incorrect electrical connection is used.

  • Equipment is moved, transported, lifted, rigged, or relocated without professionals.

  • Required maintenance and lubrication schedules are not followed.

  • Misuse, negligence, or operation outside the manufacturer’s specifications occurs.

1.5 Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, the customer must:

  1. Notify Stan Canada in writing within 7 days of discovering the issue.

  2. Provide photo and/or video evidence, and any diagnostic data requested.

  3. Provide serial number, invoice number, and a description of the issue.

  4. Allow Stan Canada to perform remote diagnostics prior to authorizing any parts.

Failure to provide documentation may result in denial of the claim.

1.6 Limitation of Liability

Stan Canada’s liability is strictly limited to replacement of defective parts.
Stan Canada is not responsible for:

  • Downtime

  • Lost production

  • Lost profit

  • Replacement costs

  • Travel or labour expenses

  • Consequential or incidental damages

No other warranties apply, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.


2. Warranty for Used Machines (As-Is Equipment)

All used machines, tools, transformers, electrical equipment, and accessories are sold:

AS IS, WHERE IS — FINAL SALE

2.1 No Warranty

Stan Canada provides no warranty of any kind on used equipment:

  • No parts warranty

  • No labour warranty

  • No performance guarantee

  • No guarantee of accuracy, capacity, tolerances, or condition

2.2 Inspection Responsibility

Customers are responsible for inspecting equipment before purchase.
Completion of purchase confirms the customer accepts equipment in its existing condition.

2.3 Hidden Defects

Used equipment may contain hidden defects.
These defects are not covered and do not qualify for refunds or returns.

2.4 No Refunds & No Returns

All used machines are final sale and non-refundable.


3. Warranty for Parts

3.1 New Parts

If a new part is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, Stan Canada will provide a replacement part after the defective part is returned and inspected.

3.2 Used / Electrical Parts

  • All used parts are final sale (no warranty).

  • All electrical and electronic components (boards, drives, PLCs, VFDs, motors, contactors) are non-returnable and non-refundable.

3.3 Shipping

  • Warranty parts factory → Stan Canada: free standard ground shipping.

  • Rush shipping: at customer's cost.

  • Stan Canada → customer: at customer's cost.

  • Customer must return defective parts if requested.

3.4 Restocking Fee

If Stan Canada approves a discretionary return:
25% restocking fee + shipping costs apply.

3.5 Lead Times

Warranty parts are subject to manufacturer lead times.
Stan Canada does not guarantee any specific delivery timeframe.


4. Non-Transferability

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred if the equipment is resold.


5. Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) Policy for New Machines

True DOA cases are rare, but if a machine appears non-operational on delivery:

  1. Customer must notify Stan Canada within 48 hours.

  2. Customer must provide photos, videos, and initial diagnostics.

  3. Stan Canada will guide through troubleshooting.

  4. If the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, warranty parts will be supplied.

  5. In critical situations, Stan Canada may authorize additional remedies at its discretion.

Improper installation or incorrect electrical supply is not considered DOA.


6. Manuals & Digital Products

  • Digital manuals (PDF) are final sale and non-refundable.

  • Samples may be provided upon request.

  • Stan Canada is not responsible for inaccuracies in manuals, especially for legacy equipment.


7. Entire Agreement

This Warranty Policy constitutes the entire warranty agreement between the customer and Stan Canada.
No verbal promises or representations are valid.


8. Governing Law

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
