The Ryazan RT117 is a heavy-duty special engine lathe designed for demanding turning work on large, heavy components. A wide, solid single-piece box-type bed and two prismatic guideways give the machine excellent rigidity for heavy cuts, while separate guideways support the tailstock for long parts. The headstock uses hardened, ground alloy-steel gears with automatic lubrication, giving smooth running, good accuracy and a wide range of feeds and speeds.
